CCF Spice Mix

CCF Spice Mix is a great combination of cumin seed, corriander seed and fennel seeds, ground down to make an everyday ayurvedic blend to add to soups, stews and sauteed vegetables. You could mix together pre-ground spices if you don’t have access to a grinder, but pre-ground spices loose their potency very quickly. Once you start grinding your own spice blends you won’t look back. The aroma is amazing. You can scale up this recipe to make larger amounts, but it’s preferable to grind just enough for a couple of days and use your ground spices fresh.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon cumin seeds

2 tablespoons coriander seeds

2 tablespoons fennel seeds

Method

Place all the seeds into a spice grinder and grind to a powder.

Store in a glass jar besides your cooker and use within a week or two.
